“Good design begins with honesty, asks tough questions, comes from collaboration and from trusting your intuition.” – Freeman Thomas
What comes to mind when you hear the word “collaborate?” Long discussions, late nights, long hours, differing opinions, eventual compromise (or not), obsessively passionate “creative types” and numbers focused “business minded” people working together towards a common goal – in which the end result is something truly unique, creative and inspires customers to change their lifestyles so they can incorporate the “IT” product and live the brand experience every day.
The retail world has traditionally revolved around meetings – with landlords, architects, lawyers, designers, manufacturers, buyers, suppliers – the list is endless. The internet has had a huge impact on the retail industry, changing the way we sell and promote our jewelry showcases products, to the way we screen potential business partners. In a world that is becoming increasingly digitalized, the meaning of the word “collaborate” is changing too.
The Retail Design Institute is hosting a ground-breaking industry event from September 7 – 9 in Ponte Vedra, Florida – and the team at CUSTOM EXHIBIT GROUP is excited to announce that we are attending “Collaborate 2014.”
So what makes “Collaborate 2014” a game- changing event in the world of retail design? Using an artful blend of traditional retail strategy and digital media, “Collaborate 2014″ sets the stage for key buyers and sellers to meet one-on-one, in pre-scheduled private meetings.
After you’ve registered for the event, an online app screens and matches your company profile with other event participants that are most likely to need your services. You can then send digital meeting invites for face-to-face meetings, view your event schedule, and network by sending direct messages and exporting your contact data directly to Outlook. Promoting the advancement and collaborative practice of creating selling environments since 1961, the Retail Design Institute is a fore-runner at setting the standard for retail design.
Founded in 1961 as collaborative community where ideas, knowledge and passion of the industry can be openly shared. RDI enables its members to fulfill the quickly evolving design needs of retail while being the platform for education programs and networking opportunities. Andrew McQuilkin, International President of the Retail Design Institute notes “Collaborate’s one-to-one buyer-meets-seller model is a game-changer and not found at other conferences and expos. We believe Collaborate is the next major catalyst for ongoing industry change and growth.”
What has the team at CUSTOM EXHIBIT GROUP excited about this event is that every project we are involved in is a collaboration in the truest sense of the word. We work for you and with you closely on the even the smallest detail of your retail space. So let’s collaborate and design display cases that let your products shine.
